Work at KL&S:
Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE):
Do you have a passion for Early Childhood Education and for building strong, diverse communities? If you want to work with a great team that strives to empower newcomer families, then consider a position with KL&S. Our CNC program is looking for an RECE to start immediately. The CNC supports up to 13 children, aged 19 months to 5 years, and creates an environment to support social and emotional development as well as early language and literacy and fine and gross motor skills.
Volunteer at KL&S:
Literacy and Language Volunteers:
Work one-to-one with learners to support their progress in literacy, math, and English language. Literacy and Language Volunteers provide weekly tutoring for learners who need a little bit of extra help outside of our regular classes. No teaching experience required; training is provided. We accept Literacy and Language Volunteer applications year round. Contact us today to be connected to our Volunteer Coordinator.
Project and Engagement Volunteers:
KL&S provides hands-on instruction and a variety of engagement opportunities for our learners. We welcome volunteer guest speakers, special events volunteers, and community experts to support learner projects. Have a special skill to share that would help support literacy and language development? Want to be a guest speaker to help our learners feel more connected to our community? Board of Directors
KL&S is a registered charity and nonprofit agency. We are governed by a Board of Directors. Board Directors are elected for 2-year term and ratified at our Annual General Meeting each September.
