Meet our Board: Robin Tippett

Meet one of our incredible Board Members – Robin Tippett!

Robin Tippett joined the KL&S Board in June 2017. Originally from West Vancouver, BC, Robin has lived, worked, and studied in Kingston for over 17 years. She currently works at St. Lawrence College as part of the Hello Future capital project team.Robin began her higher education journey at St. Lawrence College in 2007. She has since completed an MBA through Queen’s University, a Bachelor of Business Administration through Laurentian University, diplomas in Business Administration – Management and Business Administration – Human Resources, and a certificate in Office Administration, all from St. Lawrence College.

As someone who returned to school as a mature student, Robin is a strong advocate for the role education plays in giving members of society the knowledge, tools, and confidence to reach their goals. She is passionate about volunteering in the community, and advocates for LGBTQ rights, diversity, and accessibility in both her work and personal life. In addition to her work with Kingston Literacy & Skills, Robin is a board member for Dress for Success and Dawn House Women’s Shelter, and is staff advisor for the SLC Alliance.
